A England Under-19s international seamer, Luke Wood signed a two year professional contract with Nottinghamshire in September 2014 and quickly went on to make his LV= County Championship debut versus Sussex, taking three wickets.

In penning his maiden full-time deal, Wood became the fifth Academy graduate to join the professional ranks following Sam Wood, Jake Ball, Samit Patel, Sam Kelsall and Brett Hutton.

Backed by Director of Cricket Mick Newell to shine with both white and red ball, Wood excelled with match figures of ten for 128 in his final Second XI appearance of 2014 against Warwickshire.
