Formerly of Durham and Gloucestershire, Will Gidman signed a three-year contract at Trent Bridge ahead of the 2015 season.

Starved of first team action during his time in the north-east, a move back to his native Gloucestershire transformed the all-rounder who went on to take 190 wickets - and score 2,744 runs - in 55 matches for the West Country outfit.

Gidman graced the Gloucestershire middle-order with five centuries, 14 fifties and an average of 40.95 in first-class cricket, as well as starring with nine five-wicket hauls and seasonal wickets tallies of 51, 44, 55 and 40.

In September 2013 he completed the rare feat of pairing a six-wicket haul with a century in the same match as Gloucestershire beat Leicestershire by an innings and 138 runs
