England have enjoyed a stunning summer completing seven wins out of seven in the two npower Test series against New Zealand and the West Indies.

As a result, the Trent Bridge Ticket Office has experienced unprecedented demand for Ashes tickets with fans desperate to see Australia and England, the teams ranked one and two in the world by the ICC, go head-to-head on August 25 next year.

Said Sales and Marketing Manager Lisa Pursehouse: "Ashes Tests always sell out and while we knew next year's game would be popular, we never dreamed it would be this popular.

"We mailed all customers who bought tickets for this year's international matches and the response has been overwhelming.

"Postal bookings were accepted from September 7 and the forms we received on that day alone fillled the ground for days one, two and three.

"We are still processing applications received on the following day but it is anticipated there will be more than enough to account for all available tickets on the Sunday as well."

Added Lisa: "As a result of the number of postal bookings received we will not be taking telephone bookings as we have nothing left to sell but we will leave messages on the Ticket Hotline to update customers with the latest ticket information.

"We are currently processing applications as fast as we can and will endeavour to let people know whether they have been successful as soon as possible."

Tickets in areas of the ground reserved for members only go on sale by post only from September 29 and will be issued on a first come first served basis. No telephone bookings will be accepted.

In order to avoid disappointment, members are advised to post their applications to arrive before September 29.
