totesport League Division One: Essex Eagles v Notts Outlaws
Start time: 3.10pm

We travel to Chelmsford for the floodlit match with the Division One leaders and the all-rounder is keen to reverse our heavy defeat at Trent Bridge earlier in the season.

He said: ?Without making excuses, we got the worst of the wicket that day and Darren Gough bowled beautifully to take advantage of ideal conditions for seam and swing.

?The pitch dried out for their innings and with a small total to chase, we couldn?t put enough pressure on them.

?We?ve been playing better one-day cricket since then and our last match against Gloucestershire went perfectly. Essex have been doing very well in the competition themselves but everybody is vulnerable in one-day cricket.

?They have got some injuries in their seam department which will limit their options. Statistics over the last few years have shown that teams batting second have been able to chase totals successfully, so it?s not a simple case of win the toss and bat.?

With seven out of the nine teams in the table still involved in the relegation scrap, Ealham is targeting four wins from the last five games to avoid the drop.

He added: ?We?ve looked at the fixtures and the teams we?re playing and think four more wins will do it for us. The weather may play its part but 16 more points should push us clear - and beating Essex would be a great start.?
