The funeral of Nottinghamshire’s former First XI scorer, Gordon Stringfellow, will take place at St Mary's Church, Arnold, Nottingham, at 2.00 pm on Thursday June 14.

The cortege will pass by Trent Bridge on its way to Wilford Hill Crematorium, and will halt briefly around 3.05pm at the Hound Road gates behind the Pavilion for staff to pay their respects.

Mr Stringfellow, who died suddenly last week at his home in Arnold at the age of 72, was a well-known and popular figure at the ground, having acted as First XI scorer since 1994.
