An opportunity has arisen for an experienced strength and conditioning coach to join the Notts staff for the 2008 season.

Applications are now being welcomed for the full-time post of Strength & Conditioning Coach/Trainer, offering competitive salary and benefits.

Notts aim to establish and maintain a competitive position within English cricket structures by appointing a strength and conditioning coach/trainer to develop innovative training methods and programmes for its players.

The successful applicant will report to and work closely with the Director of Cricket and the lead physiotherapist and will be responsible for providing support services to the ECB centrally contracted Notts players, professionally contracted Notts players and the Notts Academy Players.

The successful applicant will:
deliver strength and conditioning programmes as part of an interdisciplinary medical support team.
develop, implement and evaluate Strength and Conditioning programmes that reflect scientific principles as they relate to adaptation, periodisation, peaking, tapering and injury rehabilitation.
Have the necessary UKSCA accreditation or similar.
Have the necessary experience in the provision of Strength and Conditioning services with high performance teams and sports injury prevention / rehabilitation programmes.
Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Be computer literate including MS Office, databases and performance analysis software.
Have a full driving licence.

Salary for fully qualified /experienced applicants: £27,000 - £32,000pa.

A six-month probation period will apply.
