Nottinghamshire Academy Under 17s will continue their hunt for silverware in the quarter finals of the first ever ECB Cup Competition on Monday.

Young hopefuls, including Bassetlaw League standouts Adam Shepherd and Sam Kelsall, will hope to capitalise on home advantage at Lady Bay.

“We showed good from in the group stage but our opponents in the knockout stages will be an unknown quantity because it’s the first time that this competition has been run,” said Nottinghamshire’s Academy Director Chris Tolley.

Drawn at home to either Durham or Lancashire, the team have already won all four of their group games against Staffordshire, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire and Warwickshire to reach this stage.

Monday’s game begins at 11am and admission is free for all supporters.
