Event organisers will recruit more than 250 Nottingham-based volunteers to play a part in June’s ICC World Twenty20 tournament which will be co-hosted at Trent Bridge.

The recruitment process for Twenty20Vision, the 1000 member volunteer programme spanning the tournament’s four venues, will cover a range of roles.

“Twenty20Vision are the ambassadors of the ICC World Twenty20, this year’s most exciting cricket tournament,” said Tournament Director Steve Elworthy.

“The UK has a strong and proud volunteering history and the ICC World Twenty20 volunteers will make a tremendous difference to the success of our event. Each volunteer will be an information point for spectators and support the work of stewards at venues.”

Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club Chief Executive Derek Brewer said: “We want to give our volunteers a great experience and in turn, their presence will improve the experience of every cricket fan who visits Trent Bridge during the tournament.”

“Plans are in place to leave a volunteering legacy that can be harnessed by the East Midlands sporting community for the benefit of future events in the region.

“I would encourage anyone who wants to play a part in the event to register their interest.”
