Mick Newell’s England under 19s hope to conclude their tour of Bangladesh on a winning note having salvaged some pride with back to back one day victories.
The tourists trail 4-2 with one to play having slipped to a series defeat in the first four matches but will take confidence into the final game of the series on Wednesday.
England chased down 225 with eight balls to spare in Dhaka. an of the match Ateeq Javid’s 63 was pivotal in guiding England to their target after openers Joe Root and Michael Bates made 48 and 35 respectively.
Seamer Calum Haggett earlier claimed 3-21 from seven overs to leave Bangladesh Under-19s nine down after 50 overs. Opener Anamul Haque top-scored with 74 while Sabbir Rahman added 53.
