Chris Read was named the Nottinghamshire Player of the Season at Tuesday’s Gala Dinner at Trent Bridge.
Read led Notts to a second place finish in division one of the LV= County Championship with a personal contribution of 1203 runs.
Four championship hundreds and six fifties helped him to become the only Notts player to reach the 1,000-run milestone and he had another solid season behind the stumps.
Andy Carter was named Second Eleven Player of the Season after dominating the wicket taking charts and earning a first team call-up for the NatWest Pro40 competition.
The highlight of his season was a return of 13-99 against Warwickshire which represents a club best bowling performance in the Second Eleven.
Brett Hutton pipped fellow nominees Ben McGuire, Jake Ball and Sam Kelsall to the Academy Most Improved Player of the Year Award. Hutton, captained by Paul Franks at Farnsfield where he took 6-29 against Caythorpe in the Notts Premier League this season, made his debut for the Second Eleven and earned midlands region representative honours.
