West Indian Cavaliers 227-8 (6pts) lost to Notts Academy 230-5 (18pts) by 5 wickets
 
The Academy got back to winning ways with a win over West Indian Cavaliers on Saturday with just two balls of the match remaining.
 
Chasing 228 to win, the Academy batting star was Michael Robson who guided them home with an impressive 84 not out from 114 balls.
 
Ollie Swann joined Robson with the score at 88-4 and the pair added 98 for the fifth wicket before Swann was out for 45.
 
Hassan Azad came to the wicket with 42 needed and was 17 not out as the Academy held their nerve to win
 
Cavaliers had batted first and were contained by some accurate bowling from the pace attack of Brett Hutton and Dan Cumming who both bowled 14 overs taking 2-47 and 2-44 respectively.
 
Adam Shepherd dismissed the middle order of Bilal Shafayat (31), Dominic Williamson (24) and Michael Millwood (1) to finish with 3-46.
 
Akhil Patel took the vital wicket of Alex Tudor for 47. From 168-8, the ninth wicket pair of Hassan Khalid and Tinashe Panyangara added 59 in the final five overs of the innings.
