After England Call

Featured News | 31st August 2010

Ryan Sidebottom will depart Nottinghamshire's game against Durham at the conclusion of Wednesday's play having been named in the England limited overs squads to face Pakistan.

Darren Pattinson will replace Sidebottom in the Notts team having travelled with the squad.

Stuart Broad and Graeme Swann having also been included in the squads although Kevin Pietersen has been left out and will represent Surrey for the remainder of the season after securing a loan move from Hampshire.

The former Nottinghamshire batsman expressed his disappointment on Twitter although he has since been quoted as accepting the decision.

"While I'm naturally disappointed to have been omitted from the England squad I fully understand the reasons why and will be doing everything I can to get back into the England team," said Pietersen.

"I have no issue with the Selectors omitting me from the limited overs squads and my sole focus now is working on my game ahead of an exciting winter."
