Second Eleven Championship
Notts 172 & 172 (5pts) lost to Warwickshire 307 & 40-0 (24pts) by 10 wickets

Warwickshire, needing to win to lead the division and qualify for the final against the winners of the southern group of the Second Eleven Championship, faced little resistance from Nottinghamshire.

In a rain affected game with 94 overs lost the game was over just after 3pm on the third afternoon.

Notts batted on winning the toss but poor batting saw them shot out in 41.2 overs for 172 with Steven Mullaney top scoring with 30. Calum McLeod took 4-30 for the home side.

Warwickshire at one stage were 209-7 when Richard Johnson was out for  89. McLeod was joined by Paul Best and they added 94 for the eighth wicket when Best was bowled by Luke Fletcher for 27 followed by Dan Cumming bowling McLeod for 81.

Play on the last day started an hour late with Notts on 81-3. Apart from 74 from Bilal Shafayat, 36 from Akhil Patel and 26 from Scott Elstone it would be better to draw a veil over the rest of the batting as the spin attack of Chris Metters (4-73) and Paul Best (4-25) dismissed Notts for the same score as in the first innings.

It took the home side only 6.4 overs to score the runs needed for victory and the division title.
