Eoin Morgan led a spirited recovery with a maiden Test century as England closed on 331-4 on day one at Trent Bridge.

Mohammad Aamer took three wickets as England slipped to 118-4 before Morgan joined Paul Collingwood to steer the hosts to close of play without further loss.

“To score my first Test hundred in my third game is a great achievement,” said Morgan.

“It was absolutely huge, a massive moment for me. I think I have answered some questions and I never doubted my ability to play Test cricket.”

Less than 100 tickets remain on general sale for day two and supporters are advised to check availability by calling the ticket information line on 08448118711 before travelling to Trent Bridge.
