Notts Outlaws v Leicestershire Foxes:
Team News & Ticket Information
Match Preview | 15th July 2010
All-rounder Steven Mullaney has underlined the determination of the Notts squad to preserve their unbeaten home record in the Friends Provident t20 when Leicestershire Foxes visit Trent Bridge this evening (play starts 7pm).
The Outlaws still require two points to guarantee a home quarter-final and victory under the floodlights this evening would boost prospects of finishing top of the northern group.
“We’re very proud of our home record in the competition and there have been several performances where we’ve demonstrated that by winning matches from difficult positions,” said Mullaney
“Finishing top would put pressure on other teams in the group but our first priority is to guarantee that we play our quarter-final at Trent Bridge.”
Notts beat Leicestershire by seven wickets at Grace Road but will be wary of the prowess of Australian Test batsman Brad Hodge who scored a composed 103.
“Brad Hodge is a dangerous player and Will Jefferson has played well in the competition but we’ve got a team loaded with potential match winners and we’ll always back ourselves,” said Mullaney.
“Alex Hales played a great innings at Old Trafford but we couldn’t support him with the bat and that’s where we’ll be looking to improve this evening.”
Notts will name an unchanged team with Ryan Sidebottom, David Hussey and Dirk Nannes all included.
Notts Outlaws team to face Leicestershire Foxes: Alex Hales, Ali Brown, Matt Wood, Samit Patel, David Hussey ©, Chris Read (wkt), Steven Mullaney, Graeme White, Ryan Sidebottom, Darren Pattinson, Dirk Nannes
