LV= County Champions Nottinghamshire enjoyed more success at the ECB Business of Cricket Awards by winning the best website and best community scheme categories in a lavish ceremony at Lord’s.

Chief Executive Derek Brewer paid tribute to the his community and development team after an independent panel recognised their success in setting a new world record by attracting 2010 schoolchildren to take part in an npower Urban Cricket tournament earlier this year.

“These awards have grown in prominence over the past four years and are now recognised as a major event within our cricketing calendar,” said Steve Elworthy, ECB Director of Marketing and Communications.

“In a season in which cricket has faced a number of challenges it was great to be able to recognise and reward the hard work and creativity that has gone into promoting cricket at a domestic and international level.

“I would like to congratulate the winners and thank all those who entered, for the work they’ve put in over the past year to help grow our game.”
