Paul Franks, Andre Adams and Ben Phillips are all under consideration for selection for Friday’s Friends Life t20 match against Leicestershire Foxes at Trent Bridge (play starts 6.10pm).

Franks constructed fifties in both innings of Nottinghamshire’s LV= County Championship encounter with Lancashire this week and Adams hit eight sixes in the match.

Notts must replace Samit Patel and Andy Carter in their line-up for the fixture between the top two sides in the North Group.

Patel will miss the Outlaws’ remaining group fixtures having been called up for England’s limited overs squads. Graeme White and Sam Wood may appear to be the obvious candidates to replace Patel although Franks’s batting prowess may give him the edge.

Carter left the field injured when Notts preserved their perfect home record in the competition by beating Northants Steelbacks on Saturday and is likely to face 6-8 weeks out.

Phillips and Adams could fill his spot with Jake Ball also keen to stake a claim.

Regardless of who comes in, Chris Read will be elevated to number five in the batting order behind Alex Hales, Riki Wessels, Adam Voges and David Hussey.

Notts Outlaws team to face Leicestershire Foxes (from): Alex Hales, Riki Wessels, Adam Voges, David Hussey, Chris Read, Steven Mullaney, Scott Elstone, Darren Pattinson, Luke Fletcher, Paul Franks, Graeme White, Jake Ball, Andre Adams, Ben Phillips, Sam Wood
