Nottinghamshire lie second in division one of the LV= County Championship, two points adrift of leaders Warwickshire, after the final day of the game against Worcestershire was rained off.

Notts will now face winless Lancashire at Old Trafford from Wednesday whilst Worcestershire face an anxious wait with flood warnings in place at New Road.

"The river levels have risen considerably overnight and we are concerned about the effects that today's rain will have," said Worcestershire Chief Executive David Leatherdale.

"There is nothing we can do apart from wait, unfortunately."
