Nottinghamshire took seven points from their drawn opening Second Eleven Championship game of the season against Lancashire as rain washed out two days of play at Lady Bay.

The home side didn't bat but did reduce Lancs to 178-9 at the close of the final day.

Two wickets apiece for Andy Carter, Martin Weightman and George Bacon and three run outs accounted for the visiting batsman in challenging conditions.

Six of those who featured for Nottinghamshire will line-up against Wollaton when the Nottinghamshire Premier League season begins on Saturday at 12.30pm at Lady Bay.
