Nottinghamshire trio Michael Lumb, Alex Hales and Samit Patel made telling contributions as England beat India to level the T20 series in spectacular fashion.
Eoin Morgan hit a straight six off the final delivery to get his side across the line
"It was a hell of a game of cricket, a fantastic match and a great pitch for a game of Twenty20," said Morgan who deputised as captain in the absence of Stuart Broad.
"It was great, one of the best crowd atmospheres I've played in, and we showed great promise for the future."
Lumb's fireworks at the top of the order (50 from 34 balls) were supported by another impressive display from Alex Hales.
The Notts openers shared an opening partnership of 80 runs and Patel's 9-run stand helped to tee up a tense climax before Morgan's stroke saw him end unbeaten on 49 from just 26 balls to secure victory by six wickets.
Hales's next commitment will see him appear in the Bangladesh Premier League having been picked up by Rajshahi in the auction. Lumb and James Taylor withdrew from the tournament before the auction took place but Notts teammate Riki Wessels has secured a contract for the tournament.
