The Trent Bridge Community and Development team is looking to recruit six apprentices to take part in a new work placement scheme that seeks to equip applicants with the skills required to secure a career in sport.

The department has won the best community scheme prize at the ECB Business of Cricket Awards for two consecutive years for its work in staging a structured cricket competition for 2010 school pupils and delivering a groundbreaking social inclusion programme in Cotgrave.

Successful applicants will be required to have a minimum UKCC Level 1 coaching award (a UKCC 2 certificate in cricket coaching is preferred) and will assist in the delivery of School festivals, Holiday Coaching Programmes, Match Day Coaching and Cricket Roadshows across Nottinghamshire. They will work alongside full-time sports development officers for an eight week period beginning in June and will receive a weekly expenses allowance. The placements are open to male and female students.
