MCCU batsman Phil Harris scored an agonising 8 runs off 96 ballls before making his way to 81 as Nottinghamshire's Second XI were put back under some pressure at Lady Bay.

The visitors declared with maximum batting points on 300/7 with Notts openers Karl Turner (27) and Neil Edwards (43) unbeaten at the close of play.

Steven Mullaney trapped Harris LBW with Ben Ackland (64) and Luke Blackaby (55) making useful contributions.

Rain on day three meant no further play was possible and both sides walked away with full batting points and a draw.
