Luke Fletcher could be in line to make his return to first team action when Notts Outlaws face Surrey at Trent Bridge on Wednesday.

Fletcher has been out of contention in recent weeks but Darren Pattinson’s groin injury and the need to alleviate the workload endured by Andy Carter and Harry Gurney may see him give the nod as Notts look to plot a course to the top of their group.

James Taylor is unavailable as he prepares to face South Africa at Headiingley meaning inclusion for Graeme White.

“It’s a used wicket and we might see some turn so we might turn to Graeme to get something from that,” said Nottinghamshire Director of Cricket Mick Newell.

“Luke has bowled in three Second Eleven matches in the last three weeks and we need to get him involved again because some of our front line bowlers have bowled a lot of overs recently.”

Michael Lumb and Alex Hales will open the batting for the Outlaws. Play starts at 4.10pm.
