Six Nottinghamshire players have been included in the provisional England squad for September's ICC World Twenty20 in Sri Lanka.

England captain Stuart Broad is joined by Graeme Swann, Samit Patel, Alex Hales, Michael Lumb and James Taylor on the 30-man list which will be cut to 15 in August.

Lumb, Broad and Swann were key members of the England squad that won the ICC World Twenty20 in the West Indies in 2010.

Alex Hales and Samit Patel seem set to feature having after strong performances against the West Indies at Trent Bridge last month whilst Michael Lumb and James Taylor have produced outstanding innings in limited overs domestic matches this season.
