Luke Fletcher and Scott Elstone are in contention for a place in the Notts Outlaws team to face Lancashire Lightning at Old Trafford on Friday.

With Graeme White set to replace Samit Patel, the duo must displace players from an unbeaten Outlaws team sitting top of the Friends Life t20 North Group if they are to feature.

Fletcher hasn’t featured in a competitive match since Nottinghamshire’s LV= County Championship draw against Worcestershire at New Road in April but has recovered from a knee injury and hopes to secure a place in the Outlaws’ pace attack.

“We couldn’t have done any more than we have in our matches so far where we have taken wickets at key times and batted well,” said Nottinghamshire Director of Cricket Mick Newell.

“We have chased low totals though and we will certainly face bigger challenges if we are going to progress to the quarter-finals.

"If we can win two more away we will be very well placed to qualify from the group going with four home matches at Trent Bridge still to come."

Lancashire have endured mixed fortunes in the competition so far with two wins and one defeat from three matches.
