Hales Form Sees Outlaws
Ease Past Durham

Match Report | 29th June 2012

Alex Hales put on another flawless batting display at Trent Bridge to set up a comfortable victory over Durham Dynamos.

Hales scored 88 after a solid start alongside Michael Lumb and a prosperous partnership with Riki Wessels as Notts Outlaws cruised to a 41-run victory after setting the visitors a victory target of 211.

"I'd have taken 88 at the start," said Hales.

"We've got a great record here and with three home games to come we feel that we can maintain our form.

"Taylor, Lumb and Gurney have proved to be excellent signings and we've got a very good squad here that can go well in this competition."

Andy Carter and Darren Pattinson each took two wickets to restrict Durham to 169/7. Carter was alert enough to run out Herschelle Gibbs who strayed from his crease after a defensive stroke and the Outlaws tightened their grip on the game.

Ben Stokes scored 56 to give Durham a glimmer of hope but tight bowling from Harry Gurney added to their frustration.
