Nottinghamshire’s Second Eleven were made to toil in the field on the opening day of their Second Eleven Championship game against Durham at Lady Bay.
Durham declared on 378-3 after centuries from Jennings and Richardson before Notts openers Sam Kelsall and Tom Rowe guided the home side to 40 without loss in the final ten overs of the day.
Ben Phillips, Paul Franks and Graeme White produced economical spells and Brett Hutton returned 1-18 as he stepped up his return from a shoulder injury.
