Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club’s official team sponsors BDO have extended their support for the Club’s Apprenticeship scheme.

Six recruits have been selected to take part in the scheme that seeks to equip them with the skills required to secure a career in sports development whilst two of last year’s intake will return to act as peer mentors.

BDO cover the costs of the scheme by directing a portion of their commitment to the club to community ventures.

“The BDO Apprenticeship scheme has proved to be hugely beneficial to our department at a particularly busy time of the year and also to the apprentices who gain invaluable experience to give them a boost at the start of their working life,” said Tracey Francis, the Trent Bridge Community Sports Trust’s Head of Community Sport.

“We are delighted that BDO have extended their support and look forward to delivering a busy programme of events and initiatives with the assistance of our apprentices.”

The Club’s Community and Development Department have already won a best community scheme prize at the ECB Business of Cricket Awards in recognition of the innovative partnership with BDO.
