Alex Hales will represent Hobart Hurricanes in the fourth incarnation of Australia’s Big Bash League.
Hales joins the 2014 finalists after playing with the Adelaide Strikers last season and an earlier stint with the Melbourne Renegades.
"I am excited to be playing for one of the strongest teams in the Big Bash League," said Hales.
"Hopefully I can contribute to the team going all the way this year after making the final last season.
”Hales will open the batting for Notts Outlaws in Friday’s NatWest T20 Blast match against Birmingham Bears at Trent Bridge.
Play starts at 6pm.
