Nottinghamshire bowler Luke Fletcher took 3-19 from four overs on debut for Wellington Firebirds but couldn't prevent them from falling to a defeat against Northern Knights in the Georgie Pie Super Smash.
Fletcher has travelled to New Zealand to serve as an overseas player for the Firebirds following a recommendation from James Franklin who represented Notts Outlaws in last season's NatWest T20 Blast.
Wellington lost the game by 26 runs and will return to action against Canterbury Kings on Saturday 8 November.
