Nottinghamshire’s team to face Cambridge MCCU has been named, with Stuart Broad set to feature at Fenner’s for the first time.

With a pre-season friendly against Glamorgan to follow, Head Coach Peter Moores will continue to experiment ahead of the Specsavers County Championship opener against Leicestershire, starting on Friday 7th April.

“We won’t be able to get everybody away in this game that’s in with a chance of playing against Leicestershire, but we’ll get to do that over the two games,” he said.

“It’s that time of year where it’s really competitive with everybody trying to get in the shake-up for that first team.”

Play gets underway at Fenner's at 11am with the match against the students, who are coached by former Nottinghamshire wicketkeeper Chris Scott, scheduled for three days.

Nottinghamshire team to face Cambridge MCCU: Steven Mullaney, Jake Libby, Greg Smith, Alex Hales, Riki Wessels, Samit Patel, Chris Read, Stuart Broad, Luke Wood, Luke Fletcher and Harry Gurney.
