With Trent Bridge having hosted Investec Ashes Test matches in 2013 and 2015, we are proud to be members of the Ashes Legacy Partnership.
Under this banner, we worked with the MCC, the Durham Cricket Foundation and Cricket Victoria to provide community benefits and a lasting legacy from our time in the spotlight.
The charitable arms of four venues are delivering common initiatives to engage volunteers and educate young people.
In the spirit of leaving an Ashes legacy, in 2015 we undertook our most ambitious project to date, the ‘Field of Dreams’ – a £750,000 capital build of a brand new pavilion at Victoria Embankment, securing much needed facilities for the future prosperity of community cricket in Nottingham.
Some 55 local business-partners contributed over £320,000 in professional services, materials, and skilled labour and we are particularly grateful to our management partners Willmott Dixon, Mabers and Nottingham City Council, who were instrumental in getting this project off the ground.
“It felt fantastic to give something back to the local community.”
Pam Reynolds, Ashes Legacy Volunteer.
