2024 ANNUAL REPORT

13 CHIEF EXECUTIVE’S REPORT potential to deliver funds that will both secure the viability of the most traditional forms of the game and deliver a white-ball competition of the highest calibre. At every stage of the process we have taken the time to consider all options and to make sure that at the right time we form a partnership that is strategically beneficial – whether by improving our spectator experience, our commercial acumen orTrent Rockets’ sporting credentials. It is important to us that we find an investor that respects all that we have achieved to date and one that wants to work with us in the future to further develop our cricketing offer. As theTrent Bridge family grows we must ensure that our home is fit for the modern game and for the needs of our differing audiences. We are at the beginning of a tremen- dously exciting transformation for the most historic part of our venue, with our Pavilion development now underway. Once complete, we hope to offer the best of both worlds – a Pavilion which respects the building’s rich heritage and that also provides facil- ities for players and match officials, along with an accessibility provision for our members that is fit for the 21st Century. With two such significant projects currently underway, we know that the next 12 months will be critical to the on-going success of our club. This will be a tough year financially, too, as our redevelopment and the nature of our international schedule mean we expect to post a loss in 2025. However, our international allocation until 2031 is strong, with two Men’s Ashes fixtures– and this certainty of supply, allied to our increased diversification as a business, gives us a platform from which to plan for the future. Your support will be as invaluable as ever as we seek to ensure our venue and sport are fit for the generations that follow us. “WE ARE AT THE BEGINNING OF A TREMENDOUSLY EXCITING TRANSFORMATION FOR THE MOST HISTORIC PART OF OUR VENUE, WITH OUR PAVILION DEVELOPMENT NOW UNDERWAY.” Lisa Pursehouse
