TO RECEIVE THE CHAIR’S REPORT TheTreasurer, Mr Paul Ellis, invited the Chair to present his report to the AGM. Mr Hunt began by saying that it had, of course, been a privilege to serve as Chair of the club for the past year, at a time when both our playing staff and our off-field operations were undergo- ing renewal to be fit for the seasons ahead. But before we looked forward, we should take a moment to recognise a club stalwart who was taking on a new role this year. Steven Mullaney’s six years as club captain came to an end in winter 2023. His stint began with our red-ball side looking for fresh impetus fol- lowing the departure of a number of senior players. And while the last few years had not been plain sailing at all times, it was only fitting that Steven was able to see the fruits of his labour in his last few years as captain, as we won more points than any other county in 2021, won the DivisionTwo title
