2025 Annual-report

11 CHIEF EXECUTIVE’S REPORT M I C H A E L T E M P L E CHI EF EXECUT I VE’S REPORT The enormity of winning the County Championship cannot be overstated, and the success of our Head Coach Peter Moores, our captain Haseeb Hameed, and the staff and players they lead is a source of immense pride for our members and supporters. The alignment of players, members and staff alike was plain to see as we contended with our exclusion from the Trent Bridge Pavilion, as work continued at pace to redevelop our most historic building. Our operations and maintenance teams deserve a mention for creating temporary facilities of the highest possible standard. Our players quickly got to grips with life in the Radcliffe Road Stand, while our members embraced our ‘Clubhouse’ offering in the Derek Randall Suite. Next season will commence with the same arrangements in place as we enter the late stages of works to provide a leading facility that will re-unite players and members once more. While the exact timeline of our return to the Pavilion is some way from set, I have enjoyed my daily walk down Hound Road and occasional tours of the site as the building takes shape at an ever- increasing pace. Our interior scheme will honour the ModernVictorian style which we all cherish, and I’m looking forward to seeing the first impressions of our members when we get the green light to step inside. Be assured that the big reveal will be worth the wait. Our investment in the Trent Bridge Pavilion has been, in part, made possible by the distribution of funds from the sales of stakes in the eight teams competing inThe Hundred. The sums involved serve to demonstrate the manner in which our sport continues to evolve while also remaining loyal to long-standing traditions. While the formats that we enjoy following and attending are a matter of personal preference, the long-term future of Trent Bridge is best-served by embracing the red ball and the white ball, and by co-promoting men’s and women’s cricket. We are no longer only a men’s professional county. Our club has diversified significantly and 2025 will long be remembered as a year of significant progress at Trent Bridge, as off-field ambition was matched by on-field success. “I’M LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING THE FIRST IMPRESSIONS OF OUR MEMBERS WHEN WE GET THE GREEN LIGHT TO STEP INSIDE. BE ASSURED THAT THE BIG REVEAL WILL BE WORTH THE WAIT. ” Michael Temple
