New Zealand international fast bowler Ian Butler joined Nottingham for their 2013 Friends Life t20 campaign after impressing for his country in their summer series against England.
Since arriving in Nottingham, he has made quite the impression, taking three wickets on his debut against Leicestershire, and has continued his good form through the competition.
Not content with being adept with the ball, Butler has proved his capability with the bat when called upon in recent outings, scoring two massive sixes against Yorkshire.
For his country, Butler has appeared in eight Tests, 26 One Day Internationals and 18 Twenty20 matches. Along the way, he has taken 75 international wickets, including an impressive Test best of 6-46 against Pakistan in 2004.
Before coming to Nottingham this summer, he also had stints in county cricket in England with Gloucestershire and Kent
