Still awaiting Nottinghamshire First Class Debut

Chris Nash links up with his former Head Coach Peter Moores again, after a winter move from Sussex.

The vastly-experienced Nash was given a first class debut by Moores, as long ago as 2002, and now leaves Hove after scoring over 11,000 first class runs for his home county.

Nash joins Nottinghamshire on a three year contract, looking to extend a career that has often attracted the attentions of the England selectors.

Apart from reuniting with his former mentor, the attraction to join Notts is a fairly obvious one, with the right-hander moving to play his home cricket on a ground where he has always enjoyed great success.

In eight first class appearances at Trent Bridge he has scored over 800 runs at an average of over 57. Three of his 23 first class centuries have been scored in Nottingham, with a best of 178.

The former Sussex skipper will also add to Nottinghamshire’s spin bowling ranks. His off-spinners picked up 72 wickets in red ball cricket for the southern county and another 80 across the white ball formats.

He will be also bolster the Outlaws batting strengths, with Nash having scored two centuries in List A cricket and another one in the T20 Blast.
