Awaiting Nottinghamshire First-Class debut

Having honed his sporting and academic skills at Oxford University, paceman Toby Pettman has made his first steps into professional cricket with Nottinghamshire.

Standing tall at 6ft7ins, Pettman was first spotted by Assistant Coach Kevin Shine and Assistant Head Coach Paul Franks at a University Centres of Excellence trial day.

After impressing with his accuracy and bounce, Pettman was invited to spend time with the Notts Second XI, before being offered a pro deal.

The right-armer made seven First-Class appearances whilst at Oxford, taking 33 wickets at 21.15 whilst also earning a First Class degree in Classics.

With his studies completed, Pettman now has the opportunity to make his sporting passion his sole focus.
