15 R ECR E ATI ONA L CR I CK E T I MPACT R E PORT 2 023 CASE STUDI ES THE TRENT BR IDGE EXPER I ENCE Over 20 participants in our Super 1s disability cricket programme were able to enjoy an unforgettable experience duringTrent Bridge’s staging of The Hundred,Vitality Blast and Charlotte Edwards Cup in 2022. While the on-field action was captivating enough, it was the opportunities to step onto the hallowed turf as flagbearers and meet some of the star players – including Australia’s Alana King and Dan Christian – which were most memorable. With friends and family also invited along – and with the clear communication about the matchday experience, including the use of fireworks and loud music, helping to mitigate any unwelcome surprises on the day – Super 1s participants were able to feel safe and supported in what could have been a daunting environment.
