IMPACT REPORT 2023

3 R ECR E ATI ONA L CR I CK E T I MPACT R E PORT 2 02 2 As we enter our third full year with responsibility for the recreational game sitting at the heart of Trent Bridge, following the merger of the club and board, it is humbling to stand back and take stock of the progress we have made in taking cricket to every corner of the county. With our clubs and leagues once again providing the backbone of our impact at recreational level, we’ve seen the number of individuals engaging with our game reach new highs. That progress has been aided by a range of new initiatives for people from either disadvantaged or diverse backgrounds, while our existing programmes have also continued to flourish. While the statistics you will see laid out over the forthcoming pages are notable enough, it is the heart-warming individual tales of progression that tell our story the best. Each and every person who has attended our programmes or become involved in our sport will have had their own motivations for doing so, and experienced their own tangible benefits. We’re delighted to be able to provide a snapshot of their stories in this publication – and we can’t wait to see how the next chapter will unfold in 2023.
