Batters Tom Banton, Ben Duckett, and Aneurin Donald have all been called up to England Men’s squads for a white-ball tour of Australia beginning next month.
Banton, 27, has been selected for the full tour, which includes three ODIs and five IT20s, while Duckett, 31, is named in the 16-strong ODI squad and Donald, 29, in an equally-sized group for the IT20 leg.
Banton and Donald are joined in the IT20 squad by Eddie Jack and 18-year-old Thomas Rew, who have both received their first full international call-ups, while Phil Salt also returns.
The ODI squad, meanwhile, sees Jacob Bethell return following his recovery from injury, while fast bowler Jofra Archer is back after being rested for the preceding tri-series in Pakistan.
Duckett was the Rockets’ leading run-scorer in this summer’s edition of The Hundred, scoring 337 in nine matches as the men’s side topped the table and finished as eventual runners-up.
Donald made five appearances and totalled 137 runs, which he scored at a blistering strike rate of 217.46, while Banton played in four games, scoring 130 at a similarly quick 194.02 and with a top score of 67.
England Men National Selector, Marcus North, said: “The returns of Jacob Bethell and Jofra Archer for the ODI series means that we will be at close to full strength as we ramp up preparations for a World Cup in a year’s time.
“Our T20 team has been in excellent form under captain Harry Brook, and we are looking forward to the opportunity to test ourselves in Australian conditions against a very good team.”
