I was a people pleaser and struggled to have boundaries, forgetting about myself. I felt that I had no real friends and blamed myself for this. I put others before myself and I did a lot for other people but didn’t acknowledge my own needs. I was overweight and eating all the wrong foods and doing little exercise. MEMBERSHIP DATA Over 25 Active members 82% Of our attendees have reached a personal health and wellbeing goal since joining Notts in Mind I attend both sessions and now also bring my Autistic daughter, who is benefiting greatly. She absolutely loves the physical fitness and I can see her gradually improving in her mental health. After going through a major set back with her OCD, Notts in Mind has given her a purpose and a way back to recovery. Her anxiety just melts away. The exercise has increased my strength and fitness and enjoyment of life. I feel grounded and more in the present. I have realised that I am quite creative and expressive and love dance. I am beginning to try other interest groups and meet new people. I am branching out and feel so much more confident in myself. I am eating a more healthy diet + have not needed to visit my GP for anything in the last couple of years. I am feeling more positive and much more willing to have a go at new things.
