Trent Bridge Community Trust - Impact Report 2025

Evid Impact has calculated the social value of Trent Bridge Community Trust using the wellbeing-based ‘WELLBY’ method, as featured in UK Government guidance. Context In 2025, Trent Bridge Community Trust began implementation of a new social impact measurement approach with the aim to create a greater understanding of the differences that its activities have on its participants and the community. The evaluation framework comprises 13 impact measures that incorporate indicators of physical wellbeing, mental wellbeing, personal (individual) development, community development and wider participant feedback. The framework incorporates the UK government measures of personal wellbeing (ONS4) to enable calculation of social value. Methodology overview Evid Impact implements the WELLBY (Wellbeing-adjusted life year) method to understand social value through improved health and wellbeing, featured in HM Treasury Green Book guidance. This measure is linked to participant scores for the ONS4 question on life satisfaction that asks participants; “How satisfied are you with your life nowadays?”, scored on a 0-10-point scale. This question is embedded within Trent Bridge Community Trust’s impact framework. One WELLBY is the equivalent to a person moving 1 point on the 10-point scale, for one year, owing to the programme. Each WELLBY can be attributed to a monetary value of £16,500 (2025 prices). The value is adjusted each year with inflation. This report considers the monetary value of Trent Bridge Community Trust activity for its participants in the 2025 season through the ‘primary value’ of increased wellbeing and the ‘secondary value’ of physical activity conducted at the trust.
