Nottinghamshire will begin their LV= County Championship campaign with eight full internationals in their team to face Middlesex at Trent Bridge.
In the most keenly contested berths, Riki Wessels has been preferred to Steven Mullaney at number six and Luke Fletcher and Andy Carter have been given places in the side ahead of Harry Gurney, Paul Franks and Ben Phillips.
"There are lots of guys who have played well throughout pre-season who can count themselves unlucky to be out of the side but that will keep us on our toes," said Wessels.
"Middlesex are a very strong side but we have always started the season well at Trent Bridge and this is as strong a Nottinghamshire line-up as I have seen during my time at the Club."
Australian opener Ed Cowan joins Alex Hales at the top of the order with Michael Lumb, James Taylor and Samit Patel completing the top five.
Ongoing work to complete the structure housing the Club's new replay screen means that supporters will be unable to access the ground through Radcliffe Road East Gate with the east side of the Radcliffe Road Stand will be closed throughout the match.
The north end of the Fox Road Stand will also be closed but the new screen along with the Pavilion, Hound Road Stand, WIlliam Clarke Stand and New Stand will be fully operational.
