Trent Rockets are set to begin the process of assembling their final squads after the reveal of the Longlist for The Hundred Auction.

From the total of 964 players who initially registered, 425 have been Longlisted, made up of 247 players for the men’s competition and 178 for the women’s.

Teams registered their interest in players on the list of initial registrations, with any player who received at least one registration of interest subsequently included in the Longlist.

Hosted at Piccadilly Lights in London on Wednesday 11 and Thursday 12 March, each Auction for the men’s and the women’s competitions will be split into phases.

The top 50 players for both competitions on the Longlist have been designated as Hero Players based on the number of registrations of interest and their career statistics to date.

These 50 will be sold in the first phase of the auction, and have been broken down into sets according to their primary skill, before the remainder of the Longlist completes each Auction.

Both the Rockets’ men’s and women’s teams head into the Auction having already made the maximum permitted four direct signings.

Batters Tim David and Ben Duckett, and all-rounder Mitchell Santner have agreed deals with the former, with batter Tom Banton joining them as a retention from last year.

For the latter, all-rounders Nat Sciver-Brunt and Ash Gardner return, while batter Sophia Dunkley and seam bowler Kim Garth join as new signings.
