Notts Outlaws and Essex Eagles endured a rain-affected no result in their Clydesdale Bank 40 group match at Trent Bridge.
Notts had reached 127-7 when rain forced them from the field for the final time. Essex Eagles were given a 74-run victory target with the umpires hoping to give them 10 overs to reply but further rain forced the abandonment shortly before 7pm.
