Notts Premier League
Papplewick (251 from 49.2) overs lost to Notts Academy (253-2 from 45.1) overs by eight wickets
Notts Academy 20pts / Papplewick 4 pts
After five half centuries this season, Tom Rowe eventually achieved a century in this comprehensive defeat of Papplewick at Papplewick Hall.
Chasing the home team's target of 251, Rowe and Michael Robson added 132 for the second wicket before the latter was out for 60.
The highlight of their stand was the fast running between the wickets and also the way they played Luke Fletcher who was making his first appearance of the season for the home side. A little rusty, he conceded 38 from his first spell of six overs and although he was more accurate in his second spell he still ended with figures of 1-81.
Sam Wood helped see the team to victory with 44 not out
The day however belonged to Rowe who reached his hundred from 137 balls with 62 coming in boundaries.
Earlier, Alex Lloyd held the Papplewick innings together with 83 supported by Mark Nelson (34) and 32 from Fletcher. Dan Cumming took 4-41 and Brett Hutton 3-53.
