Scott Elstone carried his bat for a fine 114 not out as Notts Academy beat Papplewick to go top of the Notts Premier League.

The all-rounder also weighed in with 2-20 to contribute to a seven wicket win.

Sam Wood's 23 and a patient 37 from Hassan Azad gave the Academy a decent platform with in-form batsman Tom Rowe moved down the order.

Wood took four wickets as Papplewick registered 220-8 but Notts reached their victory target with 21 balls to spare.
