Trent Bridge To Host Revamped
ECB Coach Education Course

Featured News | 6th September 2013

On 19 September, Trent Bridge will host the first course in a new structure for ECB coaching education.

The scheme is being piloted by Nottinghamshire Cricket Board, and limited places are still available.

This new course will include two new UKCC level two qualifications:

The ECB Certificate in coaching children’s cricket

ECB Certificate in coaching young people and adult’s cricket.

These new courses are designed to meet the needs of the players at their core by providing relevant content related to the age of the players that the coaches intend to coach.

The course is looking for coaches who are going to coach children from 6-13 years of age. These may be new coaches, existing UKCC1/ECB Level 1, or young person and adult coaches who wish to expand their skills with ‘child specific’ content.

Coaches will be required to attend 8 x three hour modules, as well as completing ‘off course’ home study and online ‘e-modules’ tasks.

Also required will be six session of supported practice usually in your own club environment.

Successful completion of the course requires:

Emergency 1st Aid Certificate, Safeguarding & Protecting Children and current DBS (formerly CRB).

You must also be aged at least 17 to begin the course, and 18 by the time of assessment.
