Larger-than-life local lad Luke Fletcher is to host a brand new Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club podcast called The Talk of Trent Bridge.

The weekly show, recorded at the ground, will feature guests from around the Club, including players, management and support staff, as well as plenty of special guests too.

It features dressing room gossip and will also discuss some of the most topical subjects, both in domestic and international cricket.

Featuring in the first podcast are long-serving left-arm seamer Harry Gurney and popular Club Physiotherapist James Pipe.

“There’s going to be some great banter and behind-the-scenes stories.” Luke Fletcher

Among the subjects under the discussion for the inaugural podcast, which will go live at 5pm tomorrow evening (Thursday), are, Stuart Broad's 400th Test wicket, the ball tampering scandal, what is so special about Trent Bridge and why Harry Gurney’s pub is the place to be!

“The podcasts have been great fun for me to record and I think the other lads who were in for the first show enjoyed it too,” said Fletcher, affectionately known as the Bulwell Bomber.

“There’s going to be some great banter and behind-the-scenes stories, and we have some great guests lined up during what we hope is going to be another summer to remember.”

The shows are being produced in conjunction with University Radio Nottingham (URN) students and you can listen to the podcasts by heading over to trentbridge.co.uk/news.
